« A French farmyard kitchen during jam-making season with stoned fruits sliced on battered oak boards and spiced fruit tarts cooling by open windows overlooking the abundant kitchen garden. »
Colour: Clear
Nose: Green beans on the vine, ripe bananas, hard-boiled lemon sweets, icing sugar, glue on freshly carved oak shelves in a baker's pantry, cloves and flaxseed.
Palate: Beautifully funky and warming with overripe bananas, spicy guacamole, oak platters with chopped ginger, cloves and star anise held up by leather gauntlets.
Finish: Warming spices in chai tea in an old wooden tankard, and dark chocolate ginger truffles at the end.
Nose with Water: Water brings out the fruit with Mirabelle plums, ripe peaches, greengages, gooseberries, all served in an oak fruit bowl with polished pewter detailing, there's also liquorice and dark chocolate buttons, plus Nipples of Venus (Capezzoli di Venere) and a little light farmyard funk.
Palate with Water: Farmyard funk perfumed with roses and Parma violets with peach custard tart in buttery pastry topped with a generous dollop of vanilla Chantilly cream and a mint leaf garnish.
Finish with Water: Mint initially, fading to dark chocolate ginger thins and Muscat grapes.
