« Feel crafty with ideas cut from glossy magazines stored in lacquered spice cabinets with chrome handles; pulpy newspapers and scruffy vintage paperbacks turned into sticky papier-mâché trays drying by the fire. »

Colour : Pinot Grigio

Nose : Overripe pineapple, rum and raisin fudge, lamingtons, grape jam, pecan pie, peach cobbler, cherry tart, butterscotch, lemon curd, ground coffee, vintage postbox.

Palate : Wow! Packs a funky punch with freshly printed glossy magazines, overripe pineapple and apples, followed by a rush of warming spices, fruits, rum and raisin fudge, stewed stone fruits, lemon curd, mince pies, Mozzarella, antiseptic lotion and chrome doorhandles.

Finish : Very Pleasant with a lot of spices and dry fruits, and gorgeous oaky notes.

Nose with water : Scruffy pulpy paperbacks, chocolate-dipped bananas, milk chocolate-covered Brazil and hazelnuts, rum and raisin fudge, cardboard box of vanilla fudge, vanilla milkshake, crème caramel, butterscotch, and rose talcum powder.

Palate with water : Charred crumpets with butter and lemon curd, rose curd on buttery croissants, pineapple and bananas fritters with glacé cherries, marron glacé, milk chocolate brandy truffles, vanilla cheesecake decorated with tinned tangerine slices, raisin Danish, and mince pies with brandy cream.

Finish with water : A wonderful lingering finale with a lot of spices, salty caramel sweets and hints of exotic fruits !

Conclusion : A sublime sherried Ledaig, perfect balance between the funky fruit esters and unpeated old and rare Ledaig. A tempting Christmas dram.
