Colour: Dark Magohany
Nose: A veritable aromatic labyrinth. The first fragrances are powerful, full of elegant hydrocarbons, petrol, warm rubber and old varnish, immediately enveloped by a wave of red and tropical fruits. Blackcurrant, redcurrant, candied raspberry and strawberry compote mingle with ripe mango, guava and roasted pineapple. Gradually, toasted oak and dark chocolate bring depth, while a touch of camphor and beeswax gives way to an almost salty tension.
Palate: The attack is full-bodied and explosive! A wave of tropical fruits, flambéed banana, papaya and passion fruit collides with the intensity of rubber, motor oil and burnt wood. The whole then shifts towards a richer, more pastry-like texture: almond cream, melted milk chocolate and candied citrus zest. Red fruits take over in the middle of the palate, offering an explosion of blackcurrant, blackberry and tart strawberry, before darker notes of resin, tar and mocha round it all off. The balance between fruit, richness, power and freshness is formidable.
Finish: It stretches out over a complex and textured score: liquorice, patinated leather and black fruit compote. The warmth of the wood and the return of hydrocarbons leave a dense, almost carnal impression, enhanced by a hint of menthol and saltiness which, together with exotic and red fruits, prolong the pleasure endlessly.
Conclusion: A Navy Rum of exceptional intensity, where the richness of tropical and red fruits meets the boldness of hydrocarbon notes.
