Colour : Auburn
Nose : An explosion of fruit from all over the world! Red and black fruit, with lots of blackcurrant, redcurrant and strawberry, and tropical fruit, led by mango and tangy pineapple, all wrapped up in a minty freshness. The woodiness, discreet despite its age, comes through in the background, accompanied by spices such as cinnamon and a hint of smoke. With aeration, empyreumatic notes make their appearance: hydrocarbons, burnt rubber and vinyl become increasingly present!
Palate : A perfect reflection of the nose: a salad of ripe, tangy fruit in every sip. Once again, the royal duo of blackcurrant and menthol lead the way, but the party is packed with guests! Mango, papaya, tangy red fruits, sweet spices and a few hydrocarbons that build in power until they take centre stage!
Finish : A never-ending story, stretching on and on, letting the dirty notes take over: burnt tyre, oilcloth, all sprinkled with camphor and stewed black fruit.
Conclusion : A most complex profile, sure to delight thrill-seekers and hardened palates alike! A Rum that deserves to be savoured for a long time to discover all its facets!
