A great collaboration with our friends Alain and Salva from Rums of Anarchy (Facebook group) on a cuvée which does represent them very well, punchy and rich in aromas !
Nose : Coconut, burnt caramel, fruit compotes, bread and pastries straight from the oven, very rich in aromas with a slight tangy touch with cocoa and spices, a big treat !
Palate : Caramelized wood, spices, fruit compotes, chocolate, a perfect balance of the two vintages which support each other without one overpowering the other. We can guess a Long Pond that has experienced the tropics thanks to its rubbery side and very delicate woodiness. The Long Pond wonderfully supports a Belize which brings milk chocolate and grated coconut bringing the gourmet side of this blend, fyi left to rest for many months.
Finish: Good woody length, dry fruits, both accessible and complex, the finish is rather long and comforting with that little extra that just makes you want to pour another dram !
Conclusion : A wonderful experience !
