Bas-Armagnac 1996, Domaine de Charron, 100% Baco, 48,3% ABV, Cask Strength, only 200 bottles, 500ml
« Warm summer breezes caress your skin and carry messages from the orchards, promises of ripe cherries and strawberries, as you stuff glistening olives with pimentos at the scarred wrought iron garden table. »
Colour: Rich chestnut
Nose: Rich, smooth and fruity with pear drops, Calvados, baked apples with currants and cloves, milk chocolate buttons, dark chocolate cherry liqueurs, cherry drops, strawberry sherbets, lemon sherbets, flaked almonds, pimento olives, black pepper, boot polish, hair gel and vinyl tucked into a leather jacket.
Palate: Packs a punch, a very funky one with PVC raincoats, tobacco, cherry drops, fibreglass speed boat with a polished chrome rail, polished jewels, cumin, paprika, cardamon, cinnamon, aniseed twists, orange jelly and milk chocolate bars.
Finish: Hard-boiled orange sweets and cherry drops.
Conclusion : Fruity, funky and spicy.
