Nose : Funky, deep and fruity! Nail polish and acetone are present, but blended into a rich, rounded texture. There are notes of lacquer and warm rubber, softened by a wave of candied fruit: roasted pineapple, candied orange peel, ripe mango, dried apricot, quince paste and caramelised apple. Notes of sweet spices, cloves, nutmeg and vanilla slip in among accents of brown honey, beeswax and stewed stone fruit.
Palate: The energy of the great aroma is intact, enveloped in a silky texture. The funk expresses itself elegantly: glue, varnish and hot tyres rub shoulders with a profusion of candied tropical fruits, pineapple, flambéed banana, guava and papaya, bathed in a spicy sugar syrup. A few floral touches of rose and geranium are added, as well as a hint of condensed milk, white chocolate and bitter orange marmalade. The balance between fat, sugar and acidity is superb: everything blends together and complements each other.
Finish: Long and dense. Cocoa and candied fruit linger, accompanied by a light smoky veil, notes of supple leather and melted wax. Dried mango and chestnut honey cling to the palate, while a hint of saltiness brings a breath of freshness.
Conclusion: A true controlled whirlwind, where the madness of Galion finds its balance: funky, fruity and floral.
